I will be camping at Shinne**** and would like to try and fly fish the flats along Meadow Lane. I was hoping to get an idea of where I should try fishing, what tide conditions are best as well as if I can park anywhere along Meadow Lane or if I would have to walk from Shinne**** camping area and if so how long of a walk would it be.

Any and all input is appreciated.

can't park anywhere outside the campground/park without Southhampton permit.. pack a bike..

The houses are multi million dollar and watched 24/7/365.. they'll get you if you don't have a permit..

The Heli-pad

Try fishing around the heli-pad. It's just east of the campground and an easy walk. While I prefer the incoming tide, both the incoming and outgoing tides will produce fish. Good luck......GHOSTRIDER

The backside of Shinne**** where the boats beach and the water is calm, and out of the otherwise big current, can be very fishy at sunrise and sunset and is quite wadable. You'll also have occasional shots at marauding fish from the jetty when they pop up, but don't attempt to wade there. Good luck.
