The repair has been going on for the past two years now and it appears that it will be going for some time.
Fortunately, I noticed they are working around the jetty?s surface only (not bottom). Unlike 9 years ago when there was a major jetty repair?. The jetty was never the same! Finally, enough barnacles and mussel beds are back and the fishing has been improving nicely.
As far as the fishing goes? It should be OK! The jetty?s deep hole near the West/North corner is still there. The jetty tip / western cove with the rocky rubbles are untouched and the mid east pockets / rips still evident? All in all, it?s a good thing.
