I've been looking for a quality sharpening stone for my filet knives. Unfortunatly like anything else in fishing tackle, I have hundreds of choices between stones and grit. Any one have any reccomendations on stones that have worked for them over the years.

I bought a tri-stone, medium, Arkansas hard and a third med-hard, plus carbon rods on-line, Cabelas used to sell them. That's for hunting, fishing and kitchen sharpening.

For a boat all you really need is the two sided hard & medium stone that most shops sell.

Havent been in Dick's in awhile but they once had a nice selection on stones. I know Spyder Co makes a nice sharpening device.
