I sometimes shark fish the Coimbra wreck (30fathoms) out of Shinne****. I was wondering if anyone has tried jigging for cod, ling or whatever while drifting for shark on those slow days-Results? It might be something to keep busy with.You're out there anyway, might be worth a try.

We did it years ago before fishstocks collapsed and it worked pretty well. caught mostly pollack, brought in 800 lbs. off the oil wreck one day. havent fished for shark in 30 years so I havent a clue about today.

I haven't tried it on the coimbra, but I have pulled some silver hake off the ranger. If we're fishing in the coxes ledge area we can often catch cod while we're sharking.

IVE JIGGED MANY TIMES ON THE COIMBRA AND ALWAYS GET COD. ONCE A PUP MAKO GRABBED A COD ON THE WAY UP AND WOULD NOT LET GO.WE ALSO GRAPPLED THE WRECK AND LET SOME CHUM OUT WHILE JIGGING CAUGHT A COUPLE OF BLUE SHARKS. ITS A FERTILE SPOT
