Anyone know some good numbers of spots for summer/fall sharking that is within ten miles of Montauk.

Also, has anyone ever tried the Shark Ledge off the block?

One more question, would you suggest anchoring or drifting? I have a 22 foot boat.

Tom,
Almost all sharking is drifting and chumming. Most of my favorite places are more than ten miles from the point, but I have seen sharks at the CIA grounds, particularly when the bluefish are thick in there. The only fishing I've ever done at sharks ledge is codfishing.

Look for structure, bottom, wrecks, etc. in at least 20 fathons of water and the sharks will be there!
