They dispatched a helicopter and a 25 foot Coast Gaurd boat for a 5 foot shark!!!!!

Now thats tax dollars at work.

they come in the bay in spring all the time to lay eggs.

can't understand why they would be allowed to take it out of the water if it was alive. did they put it back in the ocean or kill it?

My wife told me they had a small mako in the surf at East Matunuck state beach earlier in the day. They closed the swimming area and caught it. It was slashed up on its belly, probably the result of a missed gaff attempt.
