Sharkin last weekend

Last saturday we did our first shark trip of the year out of Barnegat. Found the makos but the water temps were very low (54),and they were not agressive at all. Missed 2 hookups. They were mouthing the baits very lightly. Best hit of the day was on one of the floats :( We'll be at it again on friday

South shore mako

Just read the fish reports on BayPark fishing station. The first mako on the south shore of L.I. was brought in late Sunday afternoon. It was a 192 lb mako, taken on a bluefish fillet near the Texas Tower.Things should start heating up just in time for the tournaments.

Bay Park fishing station reported sunday a boat took a 253 lb thresher and dropped another thresher maybe 100 lbs heavier at the Glory hole.
