If that is a boat yard price tip to tip complete, I quess it is ok. Iam assuming that you are putting a second tower station? If so match the steering head, it should tee into your lower head. The contriols also go down to your main station. I would think because you are going into a tower leg that you would use the plastic as apposed to cooper.
I did my second station for about 1500 in parts.

This time anyway......LOL!
The parts should be about $1500.00. I hope the 4000.00 is the installed price. If you want to check ask the yard for the breakdown on parts and labor. Or you can go to any marine catalog like Defender, Hamilton, Post, Westmarine and get the part price and double check it!
