wasn't geeting any production out my guys this last 2 days...so I said get X done and when you complete it we can go...that motivated 'em. out @ 2pm...good for everyone.. No call from SD or AD -- sO I asked my guys: "say do you guys want to go with me???" -"you bet." to the dock @ 3:35pm Finally Met Lattitude in a chance encounter. nice to see you -- really wanted to talk more --too bad the dock got busy..next time. PW/JB showed up not too soon after (gave me a few minutes to rig up the fluke rods) -Very HIGH tide still coming in as we departed @ 3;45pm - bLue Sky - 83-84 -water 74 -wind W @ 15 Many boats out 20+ P boats was really hoping to find the 4th of July bite again. Birds working All over... set up and had a fluke on right away and robins as well. nice bite going-- lots of action.. Not as many Fluke --but still fun to see them hooking up none the less. then the clouds started moving in from the NE- FAst. -"well that doesn't look good" the 1 st line of storms spit to the N and S of use with lightning strikes on the S side... many boats left ( only 5-6 remained) then the front hit us ---bam 40+ mph winds and the sound churned like a blender. turned us 90 degrees S. hard..drift now 2mph - seas 3-4' took a big one over the bow--filled the deck - spearing bags shoes , etc floating by.. ( thank goodness for self bailing) wind died in 15 min...then another storm showed right in front of us...that's it --we are done..Back to dock @ 6pm total: Me: -2 short fluke ( 15", 18") -6 -7 small blues( 15-17") -10+ sea robins -1 Angry Calico PW: -15++ Sea RoBins (Barky Trip Award) JB: -1 Keeper Fluke ( 19.625") -5 Short Fluke ( 16-19") -10+ Sea Robins -and never fished forma boat before...nice. -Great shots tonight the sky was as crazy as the weather. -Hard Rain in Full sunshine. -Big Bolts of Lightning. - Crazy Sunrays though Dark Clouds -40mph+ 180 degree wind direction switch was crazy.( then layed down after 15min. -a rainbow that you could see to the beach in front of the trees. -Wow. too bad we had to call it w/ in 2 hrs as we didn't quite find the bite. pd <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=86737" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> |
