Does Saltist engage the anti reverse after two clicks after flipping the anti reverse switch to on position?

In my Saltist 30t, after switching on the anti reverse handle, i hear one click sound, then the line let out a little bit, the I hear the second click sound, now the anti reverse is fully engage.

Is this normal anti reverse behavior in Saltist reel?

The saltist has a one-way roller bearing plus a backup anti-reverse pawl. It sounds like the bearing is not functioning and the pawl is taking the load first.Try cleaning and servicing the reel.
