Hello all! I have a quick question for you. I need some help with my gelcoat. I had left a pee-can (...not the type that goes into a pie, either!) in the head for when the holding tank is full. It was on the deck and now it has rusted a ring into it. Not a very severe one, but enough to make you say "Oh, S**T!". How do I get the ring out?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Take care & be safe!

XXX,
I'm sure there are lots of homemade remedies, but I have used FSR (Fiberglass stain remover) that you can most likely get from your local boat supply biz. Give it a try. If not, take some cola, mix in some lemon juice, pour an ounce of rum, and dab a little on the stain. If it doesn't work, drink the rest of it.

Marikate "On & Off"

Mike gave you the advice that I hear most often. "On & Off" will get out pretty much anything, but is a little dangerous to work with. It is a combination of hydrochloric, oxyalic and phosporic (I believe). In short, a real nasty combination that will eat through your boat if left on too long. Follow the directions closely and it works great.
