Merry day after x-mas everyone,

Got a new Shimano TLD-20 as a gift (pretty sweet huh?). I'm planning on going out this week and trying to get a nice stick for it, any thoughts on what direction I should start looking in? I'm thinking I want a custom rod, but it doesnt have to be, looking to spend $200 to $250. Any ideas? Thanks guys......

I agree with Jack, too big for bass and blues but a nice little reel for inshore tuna and mahi.I would set it up on a 6' 20-30lb class Seeker rod, roller tip and stripper, foam or slick butt is fine.

Mostly inshore....big bass, blues, schoolie tuna....light trolling, things like that
TLD 20 is WAY TOO large for inshore use,
complete overkill and discomfort for inshore fishing locally.

HungryJack,
I've never owned a setup this large, so experience is not on my side. its really the only setup that I've never owned. Believe it or not, every time I've gone on a striper charer we've fished with setups like this, or when I fish live bait on my buddy's boat we use these setups as well, which is why my old man picked this reel up for me. When I said inshore, I didnt mean fishing eels under the Robert Moses Bridge or anything like that, I just meant not offshore (if I go offshore twice a season it's a lot)
