Hi,

I drive a Crew Cab with a short bed and I was looking for plans to build a wooden rod-holder that mounts on the rail, or the bed floor. I don't have roof racks, nor do I intend to use them.

If anyone could share their ideas or plans, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen one of these screwed to the tailgate edge, so the end of the rods with the reels are in the bed by the cab and the rod tip is sticking up and out of the back of the truck.

Any other info on this thing. Manufacturer, etc.. where'd you get the picture?

Rod Holder

Its just a berkley rod rack, sports authority, and most tackle shops have similar versions, they go between 10 and 20 dollars.
