Yesterday we had a full day seabass charter for Mel and the boys. We fished several areas but the size was an issue. We had over 400 shorts for this trip, and only 25 keepers. That extra inch from 13"-14" really puts a hurting on us. Very discouraging to throw back such beautiful and PLENTIFUL seabass. These regulations are just sad. Today we had a trip for Steve and the boys. I'm always confident when these guys come aboard. They seem to have redicilous luck, and they know how to swing a rod. We started off seabassing for a while. We fished smaller, less fished areas in hopes of getting larger fish. It was decent. We landed 15 keepers in a few hours and then decided to try for striped bass on the way in. Close to home we found bunker schools getting destroyed!!!! We easily boated our limit and released multiple fish. We dropped a behemoth fish that would have been the largest bass ever boated on the Rockfish. A tough loss, but an earned freedom. We are full tomorrow but we are free on Sunday. We are available for full day fluke or bottom. We can always save a portion of the trip time to try for striped bass. We are also available for night striped bass from 5pm-11pm. Openings all week. Full charter or open boat with enough interest welcome. All info and pricing on RockfishCharters.com Come see the difference from other "deal" boats.
