Al:

I see some fishing reports from individuals who have been fishing Rockaway all winter, with success.

I need to know:

What makes Rockaway special? Is the water warmer there? If so, why? Are there any other factors that make this a successful spot.

I only ask because I have beach access in every direction where I live (Connecticut)and I don't see anybody fishing, nor do I see much bird action.
