Got to the boat dock at 7am and fished the incoming tide for Blackfish using Fiddler and Green crabs. No one on either side of the boat dock even had a bite, let alone a fish. My 15 year old son was bored to death as he couldn't even catch a Black Sea Bass that have been all over the docks for the last month.
I met up with Ernie in the parking lot and he told me that I should be fishing the top of the incoming and the 1st two hours of the out going. So after taking my son all the way home (Selden), I turned around and headed back to Robert Moses.
I spent the next 2 hours dropping Fiddler and Green crabs in my favorite spot. I did have two small nibbles but that's it. I guess that the Blackfish have moved out to deeer water, as nearly every spot under the bridge was occupied by at least one boat, most had two.
Looks like I will have to find a decent spot for Flounder until the season is over NOv 30th. My son did try the boat dock itself for flounder using squid, but not even a bite.
