Fished early this morning. Water very calm. First time this year, I could see and hear the bass slapping around after baitfish, just out of casting range. Did hookup once for around 30 seconds,then lost her. a few more bumps and that's it. The fish seemed picky. Threw everything I had. The one I had for 30 seconds hit a rubber shad. I'll be back tonight.
