Mike,
If you're talking about the old style "Jap Feathers" with a metal head, they are usually rigged on wire. The rough inside of th metal edge can and will wear through mono. If they are a more modern version then you can rig them on the 80- Jinkai.

Gebby,

Talk to Freddy he will tell you more on how to set them up. He's quite an expert on inshore trolling, which is what those things are used for...I have a feeling the Cholera Mahi will get a hurting this year !

Or if you want I can show you how mine are set up. Pretty simple to do.

Maby o.k. for inshore but tooooo small for offshore i think (just my opinion). I'll let john from Trophy Tackle rig them up for me as i need to get over there soon anyway ( wife needs a new Tuna stick)

A cool rig

HI:
Try putting three(3) double skirts of 4,3/4 in plastic in front of each of your lures. I take a small egg sinker and use that as a edge up against the crimp. It also flares the double skirts and makes them act better. keep the closest one abour 3,1/3 to 4 feet from your lure and the rest about 10-12 inches from each other. Thats how I rigged them for sale and when I was commercial fishing for Tuna .
Try adding a White or sparkle underskirt to the Blue hooklure, then the beads and hook. You will be surprised at ho wmuch better they will produced. Try rigging one hooklure the old fashioned way and one the wAY I suggest. If you run both the same time each trip, I'm sure you'll be surprised. HINT...HINT...HINT... Run off both corners and keep the line from the reel to the lures as LOW as you can. Rubberband them to your reel handle or to a lifting ring. Place th lures back in the 3rd wake ave and have fun. HINT...HINT...HINT... Keep these running on the outside of your propwash for better effect.
