RI will hold a hearing on recreational tog fishing (among other issues) on Feb. 16th at the Corless Auditorium of the URI bay campus starting at 6PM. The new regs will set a limit of three fish per person per day From April 1st to May 31st. No tog will be permitted during the month of June. The limit will be three fish from July 1st to the third Saturday in October. On the third Saturday in October the limit will increase to eight fish per person per day until the season closes on December 15th. The minimum size will remain at 16 inches.

Dom,
If I know the way the RIMFC works, its probably pretty close to a done deal unless a lot of anglers get to the meeting and not only protest but also offer viable alternatives. Last year or the year before anglers did persuade the RIMFC to stay with the ten fish limit during the fall season when it had been proposed to cut it 8 or 9 fish. So it is possible to change it. But it will take a big turn out.
