Hi,

I would bring the lure(s) into a tackle store and match the size against the mustad SW trebble hooks. Buy a box and replace them. Terminal Tackle in Kings Park has a good selection of Mustad hooks. Not much too it, just open up the split ring, remove the old and replace with new.

I know a lot of people replace treble hooks. But I've also heard (and would venture to think) that the difference in weight or balance would affect the action of the lure. As far as doing so to prevent damage to the fish, I've even heard of cutting one hook off and crushing the barb on one or both that remain. I have never actually done either, maybe someone here who has can offer some more input.
