Replacing drag washers on a Penn 113H

Ok So since I was bored today I wanted to see how hard it would be to take my 4/0 penn apart to see if I could in fact replace the drag washers myself, especially since a friend of mine told me I couldn't do it . All went well except the dog spring got loose on me while putting it back together bounced around the room like that ball in the scene from Men in Black, and ended up bouncing off the back of my nearly bald head and into oblivion I guess. (I know its not stuck in my hair cause I don't have any)
Couldn't find it anywhere, even with a magnet, but not a big deal I'll order a couple later in the week. I was just wondering if there's a trick to getting that dog and spring back in place cause it sure was tough and just when I thought I had it ...boing!

Thanks

If you are rebuilding an older 113h that has 3 washers

you will need the newer drag washers. They are much thinner.

part numbers are 007c 113h (metal drag washer set)

006 113h (drag washer) 5 required

004 349 fiber washer(recommended each drag change)

When I started this project I thought just adding the extra washers would do it.Thats where the thickness of the washers reared its ugly head.
