Shakspere sent me a new tip for a 5ft ugly stik the old one had the insert fall out.I tried a lite heat with a small soldering iron but it wount budge,dont want to melt the fibre glass.The new tip looks a bit larger in diameter.Should i cut the rod??Might be better than too much heat.TIA for any help.This is a real light weight rod.
