Question for all of you, what reel would be a good match for a St Croix Tidemaster Inshore TC80HF. Any suggestions?????

Hi Tony,

I just looked at the specs in the catalog. Without seeing the rod I think I might try an ABU GARCIA BIG GAME 6500CL. If sea bass or porgy fishing I would use an ABU GARCIA 5600 C4 WINCH.
For bigger heavier fish I would try the Newell 220.

I am sure there are many other reels that would work fine. Maybe others will chime in with ideas.

I've got a Calcutta 400 on that rod and I use it for bucktailing some sod banks and inlets. You shore fishing or boat? I find 8' a little cumbersome for boat fishing, but that rod with a Calcutta 400 balances about perfectly.
