Question for you guys. Have any of you used a product called allumalloy? Its a rod that you heat with propane to weld alluminum there is a web site that shows it in use. Want to know if anybody used it and there opinion. Want to try and fix a crack in tubing holding up hardtop just below a weld to another tube. Thanks for any responses. Danny out

It probably won't look very good when your done.

It should be Tig welded.Where are you located?I am in central Ct. and can help you out. I have one.

I've only used it for purely cosmetic purposes (didn't test the structural strength) and it has held up fine.

I tried using it on a duck boat years ago when it first came out and it didn't work. The stuff wouldn't melt at first, then it wouldn't stick.

I wouldn't recommend it

Get it tig welded! It's the best way to go
