Just had a canvas top done on my boat. Now I'm wishing I went with a hard top because I got a good deal on a radar and have no way to mount the dome unless a get an arch made. Any other way to mount the dome? C'mon pikers
The boat is a 22' walkaround.

Atlantic Towers...

Go to their website. They sell towers in a box (arches), shippable, for boats your size. They also have an online video that covers the complete installation.

I saw a pamphlet at the boat show and cant find the pamphlet or remember the name of the company but...

They sold a flat piece of steel or some kind of metal, for canvass t-tops that attaches on the frame of the ttop, It is made especially for mounting radars and antennas on the ttop.

I am going to do my best to find it.

I reread your post, when you say you got a canvass top do you mean, you have permanent supports with a canvass top, or did you get some type of removable bimini? If its a removable bimini, I would get a Htop instead of a arch. If you are going to have something in your way it might as well give you shelter also.

If you have an electronics box on top, you can use that to mount a base for the radar. That was how I was gonna do it till I got a hardtop.

Never mind, I was thinking a t-top.

You can by a pair of taco outrigger brackets on e-bay that can be cut
and mounted between the cross bars of the t-top ( bow to aft direction ) get the ones
without the holes . Install them along side each other and then drill
holes for the dome. These brackets are 30" x 4" each

Thanks for all the suggestions. I really have no where to mount a mast. To cheap to buy an arch.:) Thought of mounting the radome to the canvas frame but was unsure if it would hold the weight. I'll give it a try. Thanks.
