I too just purchased the 1732C. After all my research and recommendations I went with Furuno also. I opted for Navionics though. Total price: $3285.00, that's including the Navionics card, gps ant. and dome post with the anchor light.

I'm picking it up this weekend!!

I had a lot of people tell me the same thing...if you're unit goes out, you loose everything....but I have a handheld gps & 2 digital depths onboard, so I would really only be loosing the radar....which I couldn't afford to have 2 of anyway!!

As far as the display goes, I agree it is a little small....especially when you split the screen, but I simply don't have the room for anything bigger, or for 2 displays!

Anthony,

I just picked up my Navnet unit the other day, and was reading the installation instructions, and according to the book, "you can install another manufacturer's DGPS or WAAS GPS as a simple sensor". I purchansed Furuno's GP310 BBGPS sensor, but from the sounds of the above quote, I would think you could use a WAAS sensor.

I would check with Furuno to make sure, but the above quote comes directly from the Navnet owners manual.
