How do you drain the water out of the racor fuel/water separator with the metal bowl ? It has what looks like a brass plug/bolt in the bowl. Is it as simple as using a socket wrench to unscrew the plug to drain it or do you need to spin off the bowl from the filter?

Like paul said under the bowl is a plug that opens and put a bucket underneath it to catch the fuel.Drain the racor, put the plug back in, and fill the racor with fuel and check the gaskets. Screw the top of the racor on and your good. This is also a good time to change your Racor filter as well.
