Making up some rigs soon, buying supplies....

Going to go with Rosco barrel swivels on both ends of the 480# 49 strand cable. I can get either 350# (24 for $9) or 600# (12 for $8.00)

There's no size in between, what would you go with???
Leaning towards the 350#.....

I use Sampo ball bearing....ever since I had a failure on a barrel swivel...

Barrel swivel

Go with something better than a rosco barrel swivel, never know when something big might come along. go with a Ball bearing swivel, or the spro type heavyduty windon swivel. Size: 300-400lb.

I use 500lbs ball bearing swivels. Yes, they are very expensive. The reason we use these is that I can grab a hold of it when wiring and can get a really good purchase on it. The 350lbs slipped alot through my hand..

Don't overlook the use of dacron or JBH with wind ons. Then you really don't have to worry about leadering the fish.
