I have a Cabo 20 and 30 and LOVE them both!!! They see use in scenarios where I am not going to be dunking them. Both reels spend most of the time fishing the quiet back bays as well as plugging off the boat!!

Great REELS, silky smooth!!! Not sure about them on the open beach though.

The cabo and the the boca are the exact same reels. The only difference is that the Boca has minus one bearing. Despite what Qauntum markets these reels as, they are not salt water reels. The anti reverse bearings are made of steel, not stainless. If the bearings get salt in them the entire reel will seize. I have a full review of these reels at www.longislandsurffishing.com in the surf rats ball. I also have two Bocas for sale

I had a Quantum Boca pt 50, thought the reel was smooth as **** and made tough. Till I landed a 28lb bass off an NJ beach and the shaft bent
. The reel sits in my collection and hasnt been touched since. Go with a Shimano Stradic or Sustain, much better reel for the surf.
