I have lettering I want to put on the side of my boat. I got it from Decal Zone and they sent me a little squeegee to put it on. However I waxed the boat earlier in the year. What should I use to clean the surface area where the lettering will be going? Thanks.

new name tape!

Hey guy, definate on the cleaning and then I got to the pooiint of sliding the decal off on to the boat side to make them both the same. Pndered the measurements for a long time until I realized - NO ONE CAN SEE BOTH SIDES OF THE BOAT AT THE SAME TIME! I chuckle everytime I think of it.

JUST LIKE APPLING A CAR TAPE STRIPE. FOLLOW THE BELOW PROCESS AND IT WILL LAST FOR MANY YEARS. DID MINE IN 2001 AND IT STILL LOOKS BRAND NEW.

1. CLEAN AREA FOR APPLICATION
2. MIX ONE DROP OF LIQUID JOY IN A SPRAY BOTTLE FOR APPLICATION - THE JOY WILL ALLOW YOU TO SQUEEGE OUT THE TRAPPED AIR BUBBLES AND ALLOW SLIGHT MOVEMENT
3. HEAR AREA WHERE YOUR APPLING WITH A HEAT GUN OR YOUR WIFES HAIR DRYER - THIS IS DONE SO YOU HAVE GOOD ADHESION WITH THE GLUE ON THE LETTERING (SURFACE TEMP SHOULD BE WARM TO THE TOUCH 105 DEGREES)
4. SPRAY AREA WITH ABOVE MIXTURE
5. REMOVE BACKING FROM LETTERING
6. POSITION LETTERING WHERE WANTED
7. SPRAY OUTER BACKING YOUR SIDE OF LETTERING AND SQUEEGE UP AND DOWN TO REMOVE BUBBLES AND ANY WRINKLES (USE ELBOW GREESE PRESSURE)
8. PULL OUTER BACKING FROM LETTERING BACK ACROSS ITSELF AND DOWN AT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE

ANY QUESTIONS PM ME
