I was told that the prime time 3 does striped bass trips in the spring where everyone on the boat catches keepers. If anyone has ever done this trip before or has heard anything about it, please let me know. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Everyone on boat catches keepers?

My friend, Prime Time 3 is a fantastic boat, but theres no such thing as a guarantee that everyone catches stripers...

One of the closest things to a ?guarantee? you can get. I have not been on Prime Time boats in several years, but the four times I was all were excellent.

Three of the four times everyone on board landed a keeper. Two of those times were back in the 36? keeper days.

If memory serves me right the striper trips were limited to 8 or 10 people and the Captain?s name was Mike.

I tried to book a fall trip last year with them, no luck all sold out.

Orient Spring Bass

;)Generally speaking, the Springtime at Orient is the best chance you have for catching fish in great numbers. During the last 15 years, I've organized trips on charterboats during that time and have rarely been disappointed. Keeper-size-wise, the fish will usually range from 28 - 34 in. with largest being maybe 36 in. However, there are always exceptions on any given day. During that time of year, almost all of the action is in the daytime, with bucktails and diamond jigs accounting for most or all of the action. If you can't get a spot on Capt. Mike Boccio's vessel, try contacting Capt. Phil Kess who is now running the 45' Fishy Business out of the same Orient-By-The-Sea Marina. Call[/B] (516) 316-6967 [/B]or e-mail him at [email protected]. Phil is running charters by individual reservation only. Hope this info helps you.
