Folks have lots of methods, here's what I do. You can use a cast net or a small seine net in some situations. Most important thing is to chill them immediately because quality deteriorates fast. Salted ice in a cooler is the coldest medium. Even sea water over crushed ice. Try not to remove the slime and pack like 6 in a ziploc bag. Just a couple of drops of sea water is ok but no fresh water or air. Then get them in the freeze asap.

Great fluke bait but Fluke 2008 is just about history. Save some for '09.

Certainly prime bass/blue bait, I just meant don't overlook peanut bunker for fluke. The tiny ones are a bit delicate but so are the big ones if you don't care for them properly. That's what's wrong with much of the frozen bunker you buy; it has already deteriorated before it hit the freezer. Might be good in a crab trap but won't stay on a hook.
