I have been logging alot of time surf casting at the chanel and have met some great people. There are alot of boaters that like to drift about ten yards off shore.I understand I dont own the beach but I say first come first served. Why not show some respect to us surfcasters? And a big F_U to the ass in the boat by himself on 10-4 trolling against the current with his moter running scaring any fish away.$20,000 wadders.Give me a break.Either fish the beach or go boating.Anyway alot of ****tail blues In the surf .Have had success with bunker chunks on outgoing tide.Ive been told there are some big bass there ,more when I catch mine.

I agree with you on the issue of boaters and Porpoise channel. Some guys
like to power up and down all day long . Some boaters a courteous and cut
back when passing but not many. When I've had fish on I've had to
lower my rod tip in the water so that some of these guys don't power on
over and jam me up. A tendency lately is for some boaters to fish the
the sand bar now . Water is 3 to 4 ft and they motor right on up and the
fish take off for Smithtown. Don't understand why the boat fisherman
can't give the guy on the beach who's lock into one small spot a little
space.
