We left the dock at 4:30 this afternoon and immediately located large schools of bunker in the harbor. After snagging a dozen we headed out and set up just east of Execution Lighthouse in 40 ft of water. After chunking for two hours and only had one half eaten bunker, we decided to make a move. The bite turned on at dusk and that's when we came across schools of bunker being chased. The schools were moving towards the west so we moved west of the schools and that's when all **** broke loose! We immediately hooked up to a very large bass. After two long runoffs we finally turned the fish and started gaining line. That's when another boat who apparently had no idea of what they were doing, trolled right through the schools of bunker and came within 30 ft of us. We were waving them off, advising them that we had a big fish on and to move away. But they just kept coming and finally cut our fish off! I have the name of the boat and I hope I don't meet up with them tomorrow or any day soon because I have a few choice words for these inconsiderate anglers. We managed to stay with the schools and just before the sun went completely down we did hook up to some large bluefish.
