Not having much luck lately fishing for Porgies at matina**** Point.
Any suggestions? Also does incoming or outgoing tide make any difference?

If it was the past few days, the bite may have been off due to the New Moon. Should pick up again end of this week.

Hello cyg819, Yes the tide matters and yes we are there is a new moon . Try and fish the point about 19 feet of water . There are some nice fish there . You have to get the right tide because at time you cant hold with 10 oz . The pogys seem to like trhe fast moving current there . Good luck . Brownboy .....

Tried 32A today using clams. Drifted for porgies. Caught some big ones!!

Rye and matini****

At rye i dont cath many but they are huge (15-19 inches) on the breakwall where all the lobster traps are right before it, and on matini**** i found that at middle of tide change or low tide, cast right onto the rock point and you will hook up almost instantly most of the time
