Once again I caught the last couple of hours of incoming at the bridge (by default - the only time I could fish). Windy (about 20 knots, out of the southeast) with cool water temps (low 50s) and only a little grass. Had a nice hook-up, that I'd like to think was a bass based on the slow, steady pull, but dropped it after about 10 seconds, so I might have just foul-hooked a blue or something. Had a couple of "nibbles" that were definitely small blues, and ultimately landed a couple of blues (5-7 lbs). It didn't get rough until the tide began to turn (about 2AM), but by then I was ready to go anyway.
Felt good to have something pulling on the line for a change. The bass can't be far behind. They're in the creeks, just not at the bridge on a regular basis yet. I'll post when they arrive. Soon enough...
