How depressing.....

I got all geared up and was ready to try my hand at turning some plugs of my own this year. I did all the research (you guys helped an awfull lot), located and bought what I considered to be a suitable lathe and a fine set of turning tools. Bought a bunch of cedar and basswood blocks, hookeyes, wire, gromets, metal lips, hooks, paints and finishes, etc., etc., .... and then you have to go and post a bunch of great looking pics like that! After viewing them bassmaster I'm beginning to feel like "why bother"?

naaaaaa, keep at it, I got another lathe today , so I have 3 now.......
Got some plugs drying on the turning motor with epoxy..
That surfster plug looks awsome one the epoxy goes on all the blended colors come out;)
2 black needles with red air brushed around the eyes, I loose them as fast as I make them...
they will plunk down in water and sit almost level, the way a needle should ride;)

My, my...that's some righteous work there, Dave...and I see you're evolving a signature plug design...I recommend calling it The Bassmaster Special, put it on the market, get rich & retire to New Zealand...fish year around & soak in the hot springs over there with nubile mermaid types serving up frosty cold margaritas & big Cuban cigars...Shazam! Carry on...;)

You've only got 45 minutes left. Or else you can do another search.

ebay wood lathe auction

Spend a minute to think of those that are no longer with us, those they left behind, and above all, those who without thought or question gave their lives in the supreme sacrifice. Their heroism was not for one or a few, but for all of us. Remember forever.
