The NYS DEC is putting out fliers on all cars and trucks to warn of the following dumping of 50-60 MILLION GALLONS A DAY of raw sewage into JAMAICA BAY, they are closing down the water treatment plant by Starret city for emergency repairs, and will have to dump between 50-60 million gallons of raw sewage PER DAY, on OCTOBER 10, 11, and 12th. The DEC is warning fisherman to stay out of the waters of Jamaica bay, and Breezy Point.
As of right now I called Cross Bay TAckle and confirmed this 718 835 1018. I am trying to get in touch with the DEC, but I have gotten a couple of calls from freinds that got this pamphlet alert, this will be a huge fish kill.
Whoever has a better number for the DEC please post or let me know.
