Hey all... I'm just an observer on this forum. Maybe someday I'll be able to contribute, but for now...Since things are slow on the boards I thought I'd ask about something I've wondered for a while:

Do any of you make your own plastics, either hard or soft?
I've been to some boards where a lot of bass (freshwater) fishermen discuss molding & coloring their own plastics. They're really nuts for it. But I see non of that here (even though everyone's always complaining how a certain british plastic teaser is so hard to find...) Just some idle thoughts I had in my head...

There's a couple of chapters about making your own soft-plastic lures and making molds for soft-plastic lures in my copy of "Modern Tackle Craft", from 1993, by C.Boyd Pfeifer. That book was "replaced" by the same author's new book in 1999, "The Complete Book of Tackle Making" (ISBN: 1558217215), which is available in large softcover, 544 pages, from www.buy.com for $12.56 including shipping.
