Finally got out this fall after all thie wind and storms. Hit a local reef and had a good pick of nice tog. Decided to stay put ione spot all day and picked away. My son Dylan put on a show with the jig and had a personal best fishi of 13 lbs on a 1.5 oz jig isnd 20 lb spinning tackle. He's been trying to get the IGFA junior black fish record for the past few years and just missed it today by 1.5 oz. Bummet - but something tells me he will give it another run for the money in the next 5 years he's eligible. Very proud of him and and took the loss with a smile and said he'll be back! Calico crabs were the hot ticket today and the weather was amazingl. Fish bit on both tides , if you never tried jigging before it's reslky s very fun and rffrctive way to catch big tog.
Special thanks to Bay Patk fishing Station on taking the time to weigh the fish in.
