I just received replacement parts from penn for my 965. 2 of the screws for the side plate now have a larger thread size. one of the gears which was a two pc construction (brass&plastic) is now all plastic. I am going to call Penn on monday but has anyone has similar experience when ordering replacement parts? Do they carry the older parts. I reassembled the reel and it is sticky now. Spool does not sping freely. I can only assume the replacement gears are to blame. Without the older thread size screw I will be SOL.
