A buddy of mine has a 12 International. He was told by his usual maintenance shop that there are no parts to service those reels anymore. Does anyone know where to get replacement drags for these reels or what else we can do? Its a great reel, and he doesnt know if he should just use it until the drag goes and EBay it, or, EBay it now while it still has value, or, if there is a way to service this reel in the future. Any thoughts?

untrue, almost all parts are available.If the reel needs service he can send it to SeaIsle in Freeport or Northport rod&Reel. OR IN NYC he can P.M. me and I will give him a place to ship to for repair.
