I bought one off ebay and used it yesterday. Married it to a bass pro shops cheapo muskie rod XH 6'3 15-40lb spooled with 30PP. It was handling the gator blues pretty well but I was wondering how it would do vs the mighty bass 
I have many of the 9's and 209's simply indistructable, Each was my first and the a second when I brought a friend, after I got the house on the lagoon and boat got 4 more for the kids and newbe's newest is about 20yrs. a few are on 7'mh castng rods for fluke and the 209's on 6'poles are fair weapons for the inshore wrecks and blues. Got a lefty for my wife, She wouldn't trade it for a new calcutta when they first came out.
