Shaking of the dust today. Straigtened out some carbon build up issues and motored out to the Green Lawns Shelter Island sound.
On the way out, sounded bait and somthing bigger underneath at Jessups tried some bass assasins no luck. In retrospect probably should have tried some fluke rigs. Could have also given it a few more passes but again it was a shake off the dust trip to finish working out the winter kinks.
At the lawns, sounded for bait to try and up my odds on fluke 53+deg H2O wind predominately funneling from the west. Found some some life closer to the beach on structure. Whole squid yielded nothing. Lost half of a few sand eels and headed home for diner. The guys fishing 50 or so feet of H2O didn't seem to be having much luck either.
