clerk spoke semi-english & recommended this unknown brand of tequila to me, had the worm & all. can't remember the name but not too expensive, had a nice kick, and real smooth. the locals know.

Mezcal?
There are sipping tequilas which anejo is best known for.
If your shooting and doing the lime and salt, use any blanco. Anything else is a waste.
Margaritas, use a reposado.
A lot of good tequilas in the 40-60 range
I'll pass on the Patron Platinum @ 190.00
My opinion.
I agree about the Platinum @ 190. It also gave me a hangover which the Anejo never does. It was a gift cuz my buddy knew I love Tequilla, very nice crystal bottle though. I'm gonna keep my Anejo in it.
With the Patron Anejo, no lime and salt needed, and it's smoother than Johnny Walker Blue or MaCallan 25year old...but I love tequilla.
