Panama Video - Yellowfin Tuna Madness! - April 23, 2014

The 2014 Yellowfin Tuna craziness has officially begun here in the Gulf of Chiriquí, Panama! Check out this video I took yesterday April 23rd, 2014 as we pulled up on a local commercial fisherman towing a log that was loaded with baitfish. It's a great trick used by tuna fisherman to attract big schools of Yellowfin Tuna. This time of year, here in the Gulf of Chiriquí, the spawning bait fish will congregate around floating logs....commercial fisherman will find one and slowly tow it to an area where they know the Tunas are. When they finally meet up with the Tunas it is absolute mayhem!!
