I've got another newbie question. this time it concerns Orient Point state park.

My son and I are thinking about trying our luck at Orient Point this Friday, but I can't find much information about what the fishing conditions are from a pier or dock.

Anyone have some helpful hints?

Hello Tracker99,

doughboy is correct! There are no docks or piers there! However, there are fine charter captains and party boat that will show you some great fishing! At this time… the humpback porgy bite is superb and the night bass fishing is hot! ;)

As for the beaches… You have to be extra careful when surfcasting because Orient Pt. is known for it's dangerous (heavy/strong) tides & currents!

Hope this helps!
