Saw this elsewhere and thought this might be a good idea.
Short and sweet: Post a Fishing Tip!

Tip #1:
To remove bunker smell from your hands, try lemon or handi wipes for baby's bottoms.

Tip #2:
Bring a large zip lock bag with you fishing. You can use it to put away your smelly, nasty towel @ the end of the day. I buy the bigger one's in bulk from costco/bj's/sam's club etc...

Hi Addict,
Post a Fishing Tip!

That's an excellent idea!!!

Here's a few for ya…

#3) Always have extra batteries (for flashlight) in your glove compartment!

#4) Always have extra bottles of water (for drinking and washing hands)!

#5) Always have insect repellent in your vehicle.

Any more? :)

Hi Guys,
This is a great idea sharing tips:
1)for stinky clothes use Febreeze or any of the similar brands - works great
2)use a little keychain clip or carabiner to clip your hand towel to your belt - that way it's always in easy reach
3)a half-gallon bleach bottle with the bottom cut out makes a handy bailer - it's also the "first class men's room" on my boat
4)even on a tiny boat, take a jug of fresh water for cleaning your sunglasses and washing that burning sunscreen out of your eyes
5)for a cheaper, better version of baby wipes try this: fold up some good quality paper towels into a plastic bag and soak them with witch hazel mixed with some water. Keep them in your cooler chest for a really refreshing clean up any time.

Reading all the helpful info and the great humor, I might not need my cable tv anymore. Great stuff folks! I know there're more great tips out there - fishing or otherwise - lol

  1. Keep an extra large (toe nail size) clipper conveniently tied to your belt to snip excess line close to a knot or to easily cut through a knot on a previously knotted hook. (As time goes on it's becoming increasingly more difficult for my eye teeth to do the job!)
  2. As I?ve previously posted, a canvas zip up CD pouch with heavy plastic CD holder pages makes a great compact storage bag for pre-tied rigs keeping them viewable, organized and untangled. (fly fisherpeople can also use this for leaders)
  3. for us bispeckled people... spray or coat your glasses with some of that windshield rain off stuff

here's 3

1. Montauk eelin, use thin cheapo plastic sandwhich bags, place 1 eel in each bag and put in surf bag, when u need an eel hook him thru the bag, and pull the eel thru the platic,

ps. always dispose of empty bags properly

2. carry toenail clippers around your neck to easily cut line to change lures

3. attach a small ring of pvc to your wader belt, when u need both hands place end of blank in ring and then between your legs, look ma no hands....
