Couldnt make it to block yesterday, had a 4th picnic to go to in the afternoon so that meant had to get back early. went to misquamicut for fluke in hazy overcast conditions and the fishing was fairly slow. 6-8 shorts and 1 keeper so decided to try old reef for some sea bass.Instaed of sea bass got porgys they were every where on the reef.Im not really a porgy fan wwhen it comes to eating em so I Made acall on the cell phone to my wife, who was already at the picnic, see if anyone likes porgys. The guy puttin on the the picnic loves em, says **** take as many as I can get, and I dont even have to clean em,he likes em Whole. So I kept about 8 of the biggest ones. 12"-14". threw alot of smaller ones back Im sure I could have got more but still wanted some more fluke, so I headed over to stonington and noyes shoal in heavy fog. didnt catch any thing not even a bite. Maybe make out to block on sunday ,will check the weather .
