Oil spill in Norwalk CT.

5556 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  googin
A barge ran aground 2 miles south of Norwalk CT and dumped about 10-15000 gallons of heating oil into the sound. This really burns me up with all the technology and advacements we have made these idiots still find a way to run aground. This sickens me and they better **** well make sure they clean this up the best that they can. God only knows what kind of impact this is going to have on the fisheries end of it especially the shellfish. Its one thing when you read about this kind of stuff happening but its a whole new ball game when its in your back yard.

Craig,
There's no arguing that its not a good thing. But look at it this way, that's probably less than half the pollution the city of Norwalk dumps into the sound every time there is a heavy rain.
